Agricultural building
Yonne (89)
The project
This approximately 2,600 m² agricultural building supports the SCEA du Domaine de Saimbault, a family livestock farm established in 1929 in Mézilles (89), in developing its beef and sheep production operations. It brings together in a single location loose housing for cattle, a sheep barn, areas for horses and lambs, a feeding alley, a treatment area, a feed storage zone, and an equipment maintenance workshop.
By providing animals with more generous floor space that complies with animal welfare requirements and CAP subsidy eligibility conditions, preserving the quality of currently poorly sheltered fodder and feed, and streamlining workflow, this building supports the farm’s modernization and long-term viability. Its strategic location, in the heart of the fields and close to pastures and existing buildings, optimizes movement and the daily monitoring of the livestock.
