Groupe Technique Solaire is Transforming and Becomes Mexens

A measured, deliberate transformation

Since its founding in 2008, Technique Solaire Group has built its reputation on deep expertise in solar photovoltaics, grounded in strong local partnerships and a long-term outlook.

As early as 2014, the Group began broadening its scope with the launch of a biogas division and expansion into India—marking a turning point in both technology and geography.

In recent years, diversification has accelerated sharply. The Group’s entry into onshore wind through a major acquisition, together with its first battery storage assets coming online, signals a clear commitment to combining multiple technologies for greater resilience and flexibility.

Today, the Group has moved beyond the role of a pure-play renewables producer to become a multi-energy developer and operator.

A clear strategic roadmap through 2030

This transformation is anchored in a strategic roadmap with a 2030 horizon.

The Group aims to grow its operating portfolio to over 4 GW of renewable energy capacity, up from 0.9 GW today.

This trajectory rests on both strengthening its positions in France and targeted selective international expansion—particularly in India and Spain—while preparing to enter a new strategic European market.

Solar photovoltaics remains the cornerstone, complemented by a gradual buildout in onshore wind, energy storage and biogas.

Within this roadmap, biogas represents a significant growth area, with a target of 30 production units by 2030.

An active consolidator in a maturing market

In a renewables sector that remains highly fragmented, Mexens intends to play an active role in market consolidation alongside its organic growth.

The Group takes a selective, industrial approach to acquiring projects and assets—one focused on long-term commitment, operational continuity and strengthening the coherence of its multi-energy model.

From Technique Solaire to Mexens

The signature “More than energy” reflects an aligned and deliberate transformation in which the Group’s identity, strategy and vision are now fully coherent. It expresses the Group’s ambition to deliver sustainable and purposeful projects, built on trust and impact. “Mexens is not a cosmetic change. It is the expression of a Group that has grown in scale and whose model is evolving—driven by the commitment of our people and a collective energy shared across the communities where we operate. We believe the energy transition is built over time, with renewable energies and human energies alike. That is the conviction we carry forward today with Mexens.”
